Customer Service Specialist 2
SALARY: $38,868 - $43,716
DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in understanding and anticipating the needs of our customers to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide direct customer service to walk-in visitors, students, faculty, business partners, and staff
- Respond to inquiries about AMSC/WATR Center, Creative Tech and Construction programs via phone, email, and in-person
- Maintain accurate student records, including enrollment rosters and tuition/fee tracking
- Assign group identifications to students and track program status
- Provide backup support for scheduling contract instructors and coordinate with the Administrative Services Manager
- Support contract compliance by ensuring student accounts are in good standing prior to class start
- Maintain and communicate accurate course schedules and registration details
- Support a welcoming, inclusive environment for diverse populations and adult learners
- Deliver accurate, timely information to ensure smooth enrollment and course participation
- Manage logistics and provide administrative support for operations and events
- Proactively seek out information related to emerging technologies and educational needs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Three years of experience providing direct customer service, resolving issues, and maintaining confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and/or student information systems like ctc link
- Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and communication
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-traffic setting
Facilities Operations Maintenance Specialist
SALARY: $58,380 - $62,892
DESCRIPTION:
The Facilities Operations Maintenance Specialist provides strategic support for the Advanced Manufacturing Skills Center (AMSC) home of the Washington Aerospace Training & Research (WATR) Center's facilities, equipment, and operational systems. This position oversees the planning, coordination, and continuous improvement of technical services that support all training programs, including oversight of the high bay, instructional labs, and specialized equipment.
The Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for all facility and equipment operations at the AMSC/WATR Center, ensuring safety, compliance, and functionality. Responsibilities include developing procedures for equipment use and maintenance, coordinating with vendors and contractors, managing inventory and procurement processes, and supporting faculty and program staff with technical resources.
The role requires a high level of independent judgment, discretion, and initiative. The Specialist reports to the Director of the AMSC/WATR Center and may participate in strategic planning, budget recommendations, grant reporting, and accreditation-related documentation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of experience of technical operations, facilities coordination, or equipment systems in an industrial, manufacturing, or technical educational setting
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and create operational procedures
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Experience coordinating vendors, managing inventory, and supporting technical environments
- Ability to collaborate across departments and represent the program in cross-functional planning
- Comfortable working in an industrial environment and able to lift up to 50 pounds
